Asian ride-hailing platform TADA has partnered with TON Foundation to launch a new Telegram-based mini-application that will facilitate swift crypto transactions between riders and customers within The Open Network (TON) blockchain. With the introduction of a mini App and integration of TON blockchain to facilitate crypto adoption, Telegram has recorded a massive user hike, with many upcoming crypto projects utilizing the platform to develop their Apps and games.

TADA Launches on Telegram

TON Blockchain has announced this strategic partnership through a Thursday post on X. TADA’s Telegram-based app will be called “TADA Mini.” With TADA Mini, users will book their rides directly from Telegram without downloading and signing in to any separate mobile or desktop application.

Most importantly, TADA Mini promotes Web3 adoption by integrating cryptocurrency payments via TON Blockchain, thus providing another use case for TON Blockchain’s native token, Toncoin (TON). Following the collaboration, TADA riders will accept TON and USDT payments via their Tonkeeper or Telegram-based crypto wallets.

Harvey Kim, Head of TON Foundation Korea, said:

If we want to accelerate the successful adoption of Web3 solutions, it is critical to establish strong partnerships with exciting Web2 platforms so that users can quickly become familiar with the many benefits of Web3. This collaboration is an important milestone for us as we look to continue to drive growth for the TON blockchain in Southeast Asia.

Both companies plan to offer free rides for the first 4000 rides booked on the TADA mini App between September 14 and 18 during the Token2049 crypto conference in Singapore to celebrate the new Milestone.

Additionally, James Yang, CIO of TADA’s parent company, MVL, sees this as a significant move for the firm. He said, “TADA mini not only simplifies the process of hailing a ride but also prepares for the future by using digital assets in real-world applications.”

Telegram-Based Mini Apps

TADA’s partnership comes amidst the Telegram mini-apps season. Since Q1 2024, starting with Notcoin, many projects have launched various mini-applications on Telegram and TON Blockchain, increasing the number of Telegram users as Newbies seize the opportunity to explore the crypto industry.

One of the most popular Telegram Apps is the Hamster Kombat clicker game, launched in March 2024. The game claims to reward active players with its native token, $HMSTR. As the project revealed recently, $HMSTR will be minted and distributed to users on September 26, 2024.
