The integration of Flare blockchain and LayerZero enables broader network growth and security. It also provides access to a substantial pool of new users and liquidity sources for dApp developers.
Flare Blockchain has announced its integration with LayerZero, a protocol that bridges the gap between different blockchains, making seamless cross-chain interactions a reality. The recent and strategic development enables Flare to connect with over 75 blockchains.
Flare Integrates LayerZero
Flare emphasized that incorporating with LayerZero would boost network growth, enlarge its user base, and enhance liquidity sources, while upholding the highest standards of decentralization and security.
Commenting on the milestone, Flare co-founder Hugo Philion said. “This is an incredibly valuable integration for all users and builders on Flare. Deployment of LayerZero V2 will help accelerate Flare’s expansion, paving the way for builders to develop a wide variety of innovative, interoperable products. The opportunity for Flare to serve as a highly secure DVN on LayerZero V2 is of particular interest,”
Flare is a blockchain network designed to facilitate interoperability between different blockchain systems. It uses the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) to support smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps). The blockchain network gains immediate, secure connectivity to thousands of applications and services built on top of leading blockchains.
The protocol also noted that the integration provides access to a large pool of new users and liquidity sources for dApp builders on Flare. It enables interaction across all LayerZero-connected chains, including Solana, Ethereum, and various EVM L1s and L2s.
According to its official page, Flare gains immediate, secure connectivity to thousands of applications and services built on top of leading blockchains.
Promoting Blockchain Communication
LayerZero is a cross-chain platform that bridge the gap across blockchains by facilitating communication and data sharing between chains.
The protocols enables decentralized applications to use a modular security stack to confirm and validate messages from other blockchains. The stack consists of multiple Decentralized Verifier Networks (DVNs), allowing applications to select their preferred method of securing the messaging protocol.
Kenny Zhang, Ecosystem Growth Lead of LayerZero, commented on the partnership with Flare, saying:
“Permissionless, censorship-resistant, immutable. We share These core principles with Flare, who we’re glad to welcome to our ecosystem. Their enshrined data protocols provide an interesting value proposition that will hopefully inspire many builders in the space.”
