Famous crypto exchanges Bybit and Kraken have taken a step further to blend crypto with traditional finance (TradFi). On Monday, June 30, marking the end of Q2 2025, Kraken launched xStocks, allowing users to trade tokenized U.S. stocks. Similarly, Bybit revealed plans to join the movement by 10:00 PM on the same day.

This massive move marks a significant milestone in bringing tokenized stocks to everyone, enabling everyday investors to access the stocks 24/7.

Over 55 U.S. Stocks on Crypto Platforms

As revealed in an official announcement on Monday from Backed Finance, the company has launched its tokenized version of U.S. stocks, known as xStocks, for trading on Bybit, Kraken, and several decentralized exchanges on the Solana blockchain.

xStocks are available on Kamino, the largest money market on Solana, with the potential to introduce the xStocks Market as liquidity increases. It is available on Raydium, Solana’s top automated market maker (AMM), and it has also been integrated on Solana’s top aggregator, Jupiter.

Following the launch, approximately 55 U.S. stocks and five exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are now available for trading on crypto platforms, enabling users to gain exposure to traditional finance (TradFi) via the blockchain ecosystem. These include stocks of major companies like Apple, Amazon, and Microsoft, among others. They’ll become easily accessible and transferable at the blockchain speed.

Big Move for Bybit and Kraken

Remarkably, both renowned centralized exchanges have taken the lead in integrating U.S. stocks into their cryptocurrency platforms, while anticipating that others will follow suit in the near future.

Commenting on the fantastic opportunities the firm expects from the integration, Emily Bao, Head of Spot at Bybit, said:

“At Bybit, we’re committed to bringing the best of both traditional and digital finance to our global community. By listing tokenized equities and ETFs, we’re not just adding new products—we’re empowering our users with greater choice, deeper flexibility, and more control, all within the secure and seamless Bybit experience. xStocks was the clear choice to help us deliver this unparalleled access.”

Meanwhile, traders can also purchase xStocks directly through Solana’s most popular wallet, Phantom.
